The main goal of this symposium is to present the most advanced technologies for understanding Seed, Transplant and Stand Establishment, and to use them for developing sustainable agriculture systems, producing more with less and minimizing impacts on global climate change.
On behalf of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and the International Society for Seed Science (ISSS), the meeting will provide participants with an exceptional opportunity to focus on challenging problems with multidisciplinary approaches.
For this purpose, this symposium invites public and private scientists from around the world to present their advances on the proposed topics in Murcia-Almería, September-October 2009. We will try our best for developing country researchers to have the chance to attend the meeting.
This event will be staged in an area with advanced agriculture, allowing delegates to visit many different plant growth systems (seedling, grafting and transplanting). The theme of the Symposium, Integrating Methods for Producing More with Less, emphasizes and underlines sustainable horticulture’s scientific components and interaction with scientists, producers, industry companies and society-at-large.
